Definition
'Lag' é um atraso ou período em que algo acontece mais tarde que o esperado. Também pode significar ficar para trás em relação aos outros.

Muito usado em tecnologia ('lag de vídeo', 'tempo de lag'), esportes e negócios; geralmente informal. Refere-se a atrasos físicos ou virtuais. Não é o mesmo que 'late' ('atrasado', perder prazo) ou 'delay' (demora, geralmente por causa externa). 'Jet lag' é cansaço após voos longos.
