Definition

عدم امتلاك ما يكفي من شيء ما، أو القصور في صفة معينة. يمكن استخدامه كصفة أو كاسم فاعل من "lack".

Usage Notes (Arabic)

نمطان: "lacking in" (صفة — "lacking in confidence") و "lacking something" (فعل — "The team is lacking motivation"). عند استخدامه وحده كصفة ("found lacking")، يشير إلى عدم الارتقاء للتوقعات. أكثر رسمية قليلاً من "missing".
