누군가 또는 무언가를 주의 깊게 그리고 계속해서 관찰하는 것. 보통 안전을 보장하거나 변화를 모니터링할 때 쓴다.

Usage Notes (Korean)

공식(경비 등)과 비공식(아이 지키기) 상황에서 모두 사용. 'keep watch on the door'와 자주 같이 쓰임. 'keep an eye on'보다 더 꾸준히 지켜보는 느낌.
