Definition

インターンシップは、学生や新卒者が特定の職種や分野で実務経験やスキルを身につけるための短期間の就業体験です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に教育や就職活動の場面で使います。'paid internships'（有給インターンシップ）、'summer internships'（夏季インターン）、'apply for internships'（インターンに応募する）などの表現があります。米国では短期間かつ無給の場合も多いです。'apprenticeship'（見習い）とは異なります。
