正しいか、安全か、清潔かどうかを確かめるために、物事を注意深く調べたりチェックしたこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主にフォーマルな場や安全確認で使われ、『建物』『設備』『荷物』などが対象である場合が多い。「見た」とは異なり、より詳細なチェックを指す。
