Definition

কোনো পৃষ্ঠে, সাধারণত স্মৃতিস্তম্ভ, মুদ্রা বা ফলকে লেখা বা খোদাই করা শব্দ বা চিহ্ন, যা কোনো তথ্য রেকর্ড করতে বা বার্তা দিতে ব্যবহৃত হয়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

এটি সাধারণত ঐতিহাসিক বা আনুষ্ঠানিক লেখার জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'ancient inscriptions', 'stone inscriptions' ইত্যাদি বলতে প্রাচীন বা পাথরে উৎকীর্ণ লেখা বোঝায়। দৈনন্দিন লেখার জন্য ব্যবহার হয় না।
