Usado de forma formal ou científica/médica. Refere-se sobretudo a substâncias (medicamentos, comida, químicos). Não utilizar para respirar ('inhalar'). Expressões comuns: 'ingerido acidentalmente', 'ingerido veneno'. Usa-se muito na voz passiva.
