否定文で使われ、「全くない」や「少しも〜ない」という強調の意味。何かが全然起きていない・当てはまらないことを示す。

主に否定文で使われ、特に書き言葉やフォーマルな場でよく使う。'at all' や 'not even a little' と同じ意味になる。肯定文では使わない。

I'm not tired in the least.
