都市や発展した場所から遠く離れた、とても田舎や孤立した場所を表すカジュアルな表現です。

ややネガティブや冗談っぽいニュアンスがあり、「田舎のど真ん中」「どこか分からないような場所」と同じような使い方です。楽しい田舎旅行にはあまり使いません。
