病気、特に癌が一時的に活動を停止し、症状が現れていない状態のこと、主に治療の結果です。

医療現場でよく使われ、特にがんに使われますが、慢性疾患にも当てはまります。「寛解中」は完治を意味せず、症状が再発する可能性があります。
