Definition

何かがはっきり見えている状態や、ぼやけていない状態。また、話題や注目の中心であることを表します。

写真や議論で使われます。「The photo is in focus」は写真がはっきりしている、「keep the issue in focus」は話題を重視するという意味。反対語は「ピントが合っていない（out of focus）」です。

Make sure the camera is in focus before taking the picture.

写真を撮る前にカメラのピントが**合っている**か確認してください。
