他人になりすましてだます目的で振る舞う人のこと。主に利益や信頼、地位などを得るために行う。

他人になりすます行為に対して使われ、特に悪い意味で使われます。「imposter syndrome」は周りをだましていないのに自分を詐欺師のように感じる心理を指します。SNSの偽アカウントにも使われます。
