人や物事をあえて見ないふりをしたり、意図的に気にかけないこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「ignore advice」「ignore messages」などの表現は、意図的に無視する場合に使う。'forget'（忘れる）とは異なるので注意。人を無視するのは失礼に思われることがある。
