イライラや怒りから強く息を吐いたり、その感情を込めて話すこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

主に苛立ちや我慢できない時の反応に使う表現。「he huffs」「she huffs and puffs」などが多い。堅い文章ではあまり使われない。ため息（sigh）よりも強い苛立ちを表す。

Examples

She huffs whenever she has to wait in line.

彼女は列で待たされると必ず**ふうっと息を吐く**。

The teacher huffs in frustration at the noise.

先生は騒がしさに苛立ち、**ふうっと息を吐いた**。

He huffs loudly and leaves the room.
