‘Hoots’ são os sons altos feitos por corujas e algumas outras aves, ou risadas e gritos altos de pessoas, normalmente por algo engraçado ou surpreendente.

Usado para sons de animais (principalmente corujas) ou risadas humanas altas e engraçadas ('hoots of laughter'). É informal para gargalhadas. Não confundir com buzina de carro ('horn hoot'). 'Hoot' no singular para um som, 'hoots' para vários.
