Alcançar grande sucesso, muitas vezes de repente, nos negócios, no entretenimento ou na vida. Geralmente significa ganhar muito dinheiro ou fama.

Expressão informal, normalmente usada para sucesso financeiro ou de carreira ('Ela fez muito sucesso em Hollywood'). Não se usa para pequenas conquistas ou em linguagem formal/ acadêmica. Similar a 'make it big'. Geralmente indica que a pessoa não era bem-sucedida antes.
