雇われ人とは、お金のためだけに働き、仕事の質や目的に関心のない人を指します。多くの場合、否定的な意味で使われます。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
文語的で侮辱的な響きがあり、忠誠心や熱意のなさを含意します。「political hireling」は「雇われの政治屋」などの意味で使われます。日常会話ではあまり使いません。
