자연 속 산길이나 시골길을 운동이나 취미로 오랫동안 걷는 사람들을 말합니다.

보통 여러 명에게 쓰이며 단수로는 '하이커', '등산객'이라고도 함. 'experienced hikers', '하이커 그룹'과 자주 결합. 레저를 위한 걷기를 의미.
