急いで行く急行する

急いでどこかへ行く、または素早く動くことを指す古風な表現で、主に詩や歴史的な文章で使われます。

現代会話では使わない非常に古い表現です。「hurry」や「rush」が一般的です。「hie thee」は叙述的・詩的な文脈で登場します。

You must hie if you want to catch the bus.

バスに乗りたければ、**急いで行か**なければなりません。

The messenger was told to hie to the castle.

使いは城へ**急いで行く**ように命じられた。

She will hie home before dark.

彼女は暗くなる前に家へ**急いで帰ります**。
