Definition

進行方向に逆らって吹く風で、進むのが難しくなります。目的達成の妨げとなる障害や困難も表します。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

天気、飛行機、サイクリング、ビジネスなどで使います。逆に後押しする風は'tailwind'（追い風）です。比喩的にもよく使われます。
