Definition

어떤 물체의 윗부분이 어디에 붙어서 아래쪽이 자유롭게 매달려 있는 상태를 말함.

'hang from'은 물리적으로 무엇인가가 매달려 있을 때 자주 쓰며, 'hang on'이나 'hang over'와는 다름. 수동태로 자주 사용됨.

The keys hang from a hook by the door.
