Intentar con fuerza conseguir o lograr algo, a menudo un trabajo, posición u objetivo; a veces también implica tratar de vencer o hacer daño a alguien.

Expresión mayormente informal, utilizada sobre todo en inglés hablado. Se usa mucho con objetivos ('gun for un ascenso') o competidores ('está gun for el primer puesto'). Denota determinación y a veces agresividad. No se refiere a armas.
