共通点や特徴によって人や物がまとまりとして分けられたもの。アカデミックや組織でよく使われる表現です。

分析や分類作業の結果できたまとまりを指す。'age groupings'（年齢別グループ）、'groupings by type' などでよく使う。動作ではなく状態・分類結果を表す。
