建物の外の地面と同じ高さにある階で、入口から入ってすぐの階です。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

イギリス英語の“ground floor”は日本語の「1階」と同じ意味ですが、アメリカ英語では“first floor”がこの階に当たります。建物によって階数の呼び方が異なる場合があるので注意しましょう。
