Definition

車や物事の進行が完全に止まっている状態。主に交通渋滞や進展がない場合に使う。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

通常は「gridlocked traffic」や「gridlocked city」のように、全く動けない状況で使います。政治や組織の停滞にも使われます。「stuck」よりも深刻な印象。
