父親や母親の父母、つまりおじいさんやおばあさんのこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「grandparent」は「祖父」か「祖母」どちらにも使えます。複数の場合は「grandparents」。「great-grandparent」（曾祖父母）と混同しないようにしましょう。
