‘বৃহৎ পরিকল্পনা’ বলতে যেকোনো কিছুর সামগ্রিক চিত্র বা মূল পরিকল্পনাকে বোঝায়, যেখানে সবকিছু কিভাবে একসাথে জড়িত তা দেখা হয়।

এটি সাধারণত ‘in the grand scheme of things’ বাক্যে ব্যবহৃত হয় বড়-ছোট বিষয়ের তুলনা করতে; শুধু ‘scheme’ দিয়ে গুলিয়ে ফেলবেন না, কারণ সেটি অন্য অর্থও দিতে পারে।
