"grab for" in Japanese
つかもうとする手を伸ばす
Definition
何かを素早くつかもうと手を伸ばすこと。急に反応したときなどによく使われる。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
主にカジュアルで会話で使われる。急いで何かを取ろうとする時に使い、'reach for'（より中立的）とは異なり緊急性がある。'grab'は実際に掴む意味だが、'grab for'は掴もうとする動作。
