他人の私生活について、よくない噂やうわさ話をすること。多くの場合、陰で話すことを指します。
Usage Notes (Japanese)
この表現はくだけた場面や否定的なニュアンスで使われ、たいていは陰で話すとき使います。'gossip about someone' などと一緒に使い、良い意味では使いません。
