一种很小的飞虫，类似蚊子，常成群出现，令人讨厌。

常指体型极小、不叮咬人的飞虫（区别于叮咬人的蚊子）。多见于潮湿环境，在美式英语中常代替为“bug”或“mosquito”。不用来指体型较大的昆虫。
