さっと短い間だけ下を見ること。何かを確認したり、視線をそらす時によく使います。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

“glance down”は短く素早い動作で、携帯やメモを確認する時や、視線をそらす状況でよく使います。「stare down」とは違い、じっと見続ける意味ではありません。
