林の中にある、木がなくて草が生い茂る開けた場所のこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

自然や風景の描写でよく使われる詩的表現です。日常会話ではあまり使いません。「meadow」（草原）は森の外や広い場所ですが、「glade」は森の中の小さな空き地です。
