এই অভিব্যক্তি অকপট, ব্যবসা বা দর কষাকষিতে বেশি ব্যবহার হয়। কাউকে অপ্রয়োজনীয় ছাড় না দিতে সতর্ক করা হয় ('Don't give away the store!' মানে 'সব দিয়ে দিও না!')। আলোচনার বাইরে খুব কম ব্যবহৃত হয়।
