'রত্নপাথর'কে গয়নার জন্য প্রাকৃতিক বা কৃত্রিম পাথর বোঝাতে ব্যবহার করা যায়। 'precious gemstones' বলতে খুব দামী রত্নপাথর বোঝায়; 'semi-precious gemstones' অল্প দামী।
