Definition

しばらくの間だけ設置される、乗り物やゲーム、屋台などが集まる屋外の娯楽イベント。みんなが楽しむために訪れる場所。

主にイギリス英語で使われ、アメリカ英語では 'carnival' や 'fair' がよく使われます。短期間だけ開かれるイベント、'funfair に行く'、'funfair の乗り物' などの表現がよく使われます。

We went to the funfair last weekend.
