Definition

유해하거나 자극적인 냄새가 나는 연기나 가스를 말한다. 동사로 쓰이면 몹시 화가 난 상태를 의미한다.

'Fume'는 공식적·과학적으로 쓰이는 경우가 많으며 복수형('fumes')으로 자주 쓴다. 동사는 감정적으로 '매우 화나다' 의미. 일상에서 쓰는 'smoke'와 구분할 것.
