এই অভিব্যক্তি মজা করে বা গুঞ্জন করে ব্যবহৃত হয়। এই ধরনের বাক্য শুধু মানুষের জন্য ব্যবহৃত হয়, জিনিসের জন্য নয়। 'scare the life out of' বা 'scare someone stiff' এর মতো।
