Ficar coberto de gelo, geralmente falando de uma superfície como água ou solo, porque a temperatura caiu abaixo de zero.

Usado mais para lagos, rios ou superfícies de água durante o frio. Literal, mas raramente aparece em sentido figurado. Normalmente acompanhado de palavras como 'lago', 'rio', 'piso': 'O lago congelou.' Não confunda com 'freeze' sozinho (congelar em geral).
