アメリカの大学やカレッジで主に男性向けの社交団体。専用の建物やイベント、メンバー同士の強い結束で知られています。一般的な「兄弟愛」や団体を指すこともあります。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

「フラタニティ」はアメリカ限定で、男子学生の団体を指します。女子団体は「ソロリティ」と呼ばれます。「fraternity house」「join a fraternity」などの表現もよく使われます。一般的な友人グループとは異なります。
