本来親しくしてはいけない相手と友好的に交流したり一緒に時間を過ごすこと。

Usage Notes (Japanese)

ビジネスや軍隊、政治などフォーマルな場面で使われやすい言葉です。「fraternise with」と使われ、常識や規律を越える親しさが疑われる場面で使われます。単なる社交とは区別されます。
