「フラックセン」は、乾いた亜麻のような淡い黄色の色を指し、特に明るいブロンドの髪を表現する時によく使われます。

文学的で詩的な表現であり、普段の会話ではほとんど使いません。「flaxen hair（亜麻色の髪）」など髪の色を表す場合に使われます。
