‘플랫헤드’는 일자드라이버나 머리가 납작한 물고기를 뜻하며, 드물게 평평한 윗면의 무언가를 표현할 때도 쓴다.

일상적으로 DIY, 공구, 낚시 관련에서 자주 쓰임. 도구로는 "일자드라이버"라 불림. 사람을 향해는 거의 안 쓰고, 무례할 수 있음.
