「flaked」は、何かが薄くはがれ落ちること、または口語で誰かが約束をドタキャンしたときに使われます。

物や表面が「はがれる」ときや、カジュアルな場面で約束を守らずにドタキャンしたときによく使われます。フォーマルな文書には適しません。
