अनौपचारिक और मुख्य रूप से अमेरिकी अंग्रेज़ी में उपयोग होता है। आम तौर पर योजना या उम्मीद जताने के लिए: 'figure on doing something'। 'figure out' (समझना) से न मिलाएँ।
