सिर्फ पुरुषों के लिए प्रयोग होता है; महिलाओं के लिए 'fiancees' है। यह औपचारिक शब्द है, रोज़ बोलचाल में कम। 'बॉयफ्रेंड' से अलग। दोनों लिंगों के लिए 'c ouples' बोलें या लिंग स्पष्ट करें।
