Uma fastball é um tipo de lançamento no beisebol ou softball lançado a alta velocidade, normalmente direito e com pouca curvatura. É usado para tentar vencer o batedor com velocidade.

"Fastball" é usada praticamente só no contexto do beisebol, em frases como "lançou uma fastball alta" ou "bola rápida pelo meio". Não se aplica fora do beisebol.
