"Faithful" descreve alguém ou algo que permanece leal, constante e digno de confiança. Também pode descrever algo que reproduz o original com muita fidelidade, como uma cópia ou adaptação.

É comum para falar de lealdade em relacionamentos, amizades, religião e animais de estimação: 'a faithful friend', 'remain faithful'. Também é usado em arte e mídia: 'a faithful adaptation'. Não confunda com 'loyal': 'faithful' muitas vezes sugere compromisso emocional ou não trair alguém.
