Definition

উপদল বা গোষ্ঠী বলতে কোনো বড় দলের ভেতরে ছোট ছোট দল বোঝানো হয়, যেগুলো সাধারণত মতবিরোধ বা আলাদা স্বার্থের কারণে গঠিত হয়। এগুলো বিশেষ করে রাজনীতি, সংগঠন বা কোনো সম্প্রদায়ে দেখা যায়।

Usage Notes (Bengali)

মূলত রাজনীতি, কর্মক্ষেত্র বা ইতিহাসে ব্যবহৃত হয়। 'rival factions', 'split into factions' ধরনের বাক্যাংশে শোনা যায়। গণিতের 'fractions'-এর সঙ্গে মিলিয়ে ফেলবেন না।
