حالة كون الشيء حقيقيًا أو موجودًا في العالم. ويمكن أن تشير أيضًا إلى حياة الشخص أو طريقة عيشه بمعنى واسع أو فلسفي.

Usage Notes (Arabic)

تشيع هذه الكلمة في السياقات الرسمية والأكاديمية والفلسفية. من التراكيب الشائعة: 'the existence of life' و 'prove the existence of' و 'a miserable existence'. لا تخلط بينها وبين 'exist' لأنه فعل، ولا مع 'presence' التي تركّز أكثر على الوجود في مكان معيّن.
