Definition

エクスカーションは、主にグループで観光や勉強目的のために行う短い旅行や外出のことです。

主に学校や団体旅行、観光など堅めの文脈で使う。友達同士の自由な外出（アウトィング）は別。'go on excursions'は「エクスカーションに行く」と言う。
